I am Alfredo Rios, a Proffesional Tour Guide. I speak Spanish, English, and French.
I enjoy to travel, I love the photography, and the web design.
I was born in Trujillo in 1974. I have been an Official Tour Guide since 1995. I have loved literature and writing for as long as I can remember.
I studied to become a Tour Guide at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Trujillo and completed one year of advanced studies in Tourism at the National University of Trujillo.
I have studied English at the Peruvian North American Cultural Institute and French at the Alliance Française of Trujillo.
OFFICIAL TOUR GUIDE
I am a freelance tour guide, I work in the archaeological city of Chan Chan, as well as providing services for the most important travel agencies in the north of Peru.
I am a member of the Association of Official Tour Guides of La Libertad (AGOTUR-LIB), where I was president for two periods (2011 – 2014).
In 2006, I began writing about tourism on my website: www.trujillodelperu.com. Later, together with my colleague Ever Paredes, I founded the travel agency Peru Routes. In 2018, I founded the travel agency Tours.pe, through which we offer tours throughout Peru. We have a website in Spanish: www.tours.pe and an English website: www.tourspe.com
In recent years, I have worked as a guide and tour conductor on the Trujillo–Cajamarca–Chiclayo–Chachapoyas route.
I have published the travel guides: Cuatro Tours Para un Viaje Inolvidable (2001), Trujillo De Barro y Color in Spanish (6th edition, 2022) and in English (4th edition, 2018).
In 2021, as part of the celebrations for the Bicentennial of Peru’s Independence, I was recognized by the Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo for my career as an Official Tour Guide.
